The redevelopment of Pennant Mews at BUPA Cromwell Hospital was a full D&B contract won by P.E.C. in 2016. The property is a series of Victorian Mews buildings located opposite the main hospital and used by Bupa as storage and office space.
The challenge was to convert the area into a ground floor clinical diagnostic facility including consulting rooms, reception, office and clinic areas. The mews, a busy cobbled public highway runs directly in front of the building and restricted the proposed storage and welfare space to areas within the buildings. Bupa senior management continued to occupy the areas above the project and it was critical to maintain their essential services at all times.
