Client

Lochend House Residential Housing (Grade B)

Location

Edinburgh

PEC worked throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic to complete a full refurbishment of this Grade B listed property in Edinburgh. The project included internal and external alterations including demolition, partitioning, installation and redecoration works. The works created 15 high quality apartments.

The house was built around 1820. However, the west side of the property situated on the rocky crags overlooking the Loch incorporates the remaining gable of Lochend Castle, the home of the Logans of Restalrig. The castle was vastly destroyed in 1586 by the Provost of Edinburgh, William Little, burned in 1600 by William Gilmour and the remains largely knocked down in 1816 to make way for a two story symmetrical villa, the house we renovated.
