After successfully completing the first independent showroom for Silentnight at INTU Trafford Centre (Barton Square) in 2017, we were commissioned to help deliver the next project at INTU Lakeside Shopping Centre.
The ex-Burger King unit was left as an empty shell for us to develop into this exciting new showroom. Working closely with INTU and their internal project management team we deployed our experienced workforce to execute the fit-out works.
Having worked at this shopping centre previously, that knowledge was a telling factor in the smooth transition of the overall project. We were challenged with working in adjacent live retail units in order to provide the correct service runs, however with the careful coordination and planning all works were completed without any issues.
The project included some enabling works to the façade with a complete new internal and external shopfront design/installation carried out, followed by floor preparation works and below ground drainage alterations to full M&E design and installation. We coordinated with INTU’s preferred sprinkler contractor to comply with the centre’s policies, installed new MF and grid ceilings along with wall linings all finished to a high level.
Working with the Architects and our client Silentnight, we assisted in the design of the bespoke manufactured display products, which became a highlighted feature of this install. Our in-house CAD and Solidworks design team created the details that matter for production of these units. They include interactive desks, display storage for beds, pillows, sheets and dog beds, a mattress bank/storage area, media walls for the kid’s zone, and coffee point stations.
Furthermore, we brought in specialist contractors for the design, manufacture and installation of illuminated fabric display boxes.
