PEC Fits New Lighting Scheme And Office Area For Q-Park
An energy-saving lighting scheme is expected to make a big difference to maintenance and running costs at a 669-bay car park in Kingston Upon Thames.
Bradford-based contractor PEC completed installation of the scheme on behalf of Q-Park, one of Europe’s leading parking companies. The old fittings were removed and replaced with energy-efficient intelligent daylight sensors specified by the client.
Renowned for its outstanding customer service and quality design, Q-Park was awarded the British Parking Awards 2011 Best of the Best Award for 10 years of parking excellence. The company has committed to a three year £10m improvement plan for its 14 central London car parks which will ensure they are exceptionally clean and well lit, have clearly illuminated signage, secure vehicle and pedestrian entrances and 24-hr CCTV in operation.
PEC Commercial Director Suki Panesar said: “It’s a real privilege to be working with a client that is setting new standards in its industry, and reassuring to the PEC team that we can deliver contracts at this level.
“We have been working with Q-Park for almost three years now and look forward to continuing to build on our relationship to deliver further projects in the future.”
PEC has now secured additional lodge refurbishment contracts and will start work soon at two of Q-Park’s London sites in Chinatown and Park Lane.
Previous work includes fitting-out at a hot-desking office area at the company’s Oxford Street facility, a lodge refurbishment at Harley Street, and a lodge build and external canopy works at the Shambles in York.
