P.E.C. were charged with the design, manufacture and installation of 3 x bespoke POD’s for the INTU Watford.
With the clients goal been for the POD’s to enhance the Mall’s atmosphere and aesthetics whilst also providing a custom made combined seating and eating area in the central mall.
The steel structured POD’s were manufactured at our in house manufacturing facility in Bradford, transported, and installed by means of fixing them to the mall floor.
The modern structures were equipped with USB points, and radiant lighting was installed creating interesting shapes, shadows and glows of brightness to the eating area.
The POD's sat beneath artificial plants which gracefully hung from the steel structures with custom-made benches and stools providing comfortable seating. Accompanied by low level and raised tables to accommodate alternative heights for dining. With the area's been created to enable congregation, meeting and dining with a difference.
Throughout this project, P.E.C. remained mindful of the operational status of the mall, ensuring that Health & Safety remained a top priority during the installation process. This was particularly important as busy shoppers continued to frequent the area.
