Client

Lynfield Mount Hospital – Ward Rejuvenation

Location

Bradford

This Trust provides mental health, dentistry, community health and specialist learning disability services in Bradford and the surrounding areas, and P.E.C. were awarded the project at Moorlands View following a competitive tender process.

The main purpose of the project, on this secure ward, was to rejuvenate the appearance whilst also improving the quality of the environment by completing works, over several floors, in the communal areas which included the visitor room, gym area as well as various group rooms.

The scope of the works also incorporated the ground floor reconfiguration of the former production kitchen into an activity space, coupled with M&E works and alongside flooring and decorating.

P.E.C. ensured we adhered to an exacting design specification, which included the supply and installation of anti ligature ironmongery, anti vandal mirrors, anti barricade doors and anti ligature kitchens.

The majority of the works for this project were completed in challenging live patient / service user areas, and all whilst maintaining and enhancing the pin point software system which the staff depend on to manage safely.

This resulted in the careful phasing of the project with chaperoned working ensuring the programme was met whilst keeping all on-site teams and ward staff / service users safe and segregated.
