Bright Idea Reduces Business Energy Costs

Contracting, manufacturing and shopfitting company PEC has identified a growing demand from developers and landlords to reduce energy costs by installing sustainable internal and external lighting schemes. According to The Carbon Trust, lighting in buildings accounts for around a sixth of total UK electricity use. 73% is used in commercial and industrial applications, with the balance in domestic applications. On average, 25% of an organisation’s electricity costs come from lighting. PEC is working with many of its clients to deliver sustainable lighting schemes which promise significant cost-savings. PEC Completes Fit-Out Of New Urgent Primary Care Centre In Bracknell

Fit-out and finishing specialist PEC has completed a six-week transformation of an unused area at the Royal Berkshire Bracknell Healthspace into a new Urgent Care Centre. The modern clinic was handed over to specialist provider OneMedical Care at the start of April. PEC’s dedicated team remodelled the existing space to create a large office area and waiting room, four treatment rooms, a plaster room, clean and dirty utility areas and a Patient Education Centre. Healthy Outlook For PEC As It Retains Nhs Maintenance Contracts In Bradford

After a competitive tender, Bradford’s PEC has retained its maintenance support contract for mechanical and plumbing work at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI). The retained contract has been extended to include electrical work, and PEC now has a six-strong on-site team carrying out important repair and maintenance work at the hospital. Additionally, PEC provides a broad maintenance service at St Luke’s Hospital, which is increased with further tradesmen from the main PEC workforce when required for high priority projects. Bradford’s PEC Nets Contract To Fit Out Europe’s First Bubba Gump Franchise

Contracting, manufacturing and shopfitting company PEC is working with Bubba Gump Shrimp Co’s European franchisee to transform the former Planet Hollywood in the London Trocadero into the UK’s first Forrest Gump themed restaurant. The £1.85m contract involves clearing, refurbishing and fitting out the 12,000 sq ft first floor restaurant and 1,200 sq ft ground floor shop at the entertainment complex in Piccadilly Circus. Charity Win Boosts Lord Mayor’s Appeal

The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Dale Smith hit the jackpot at a recent charity event, hosted by contracting, shopfitting and manufacturing company PEC. Earlier this year, PEC organised the Heart Appeal charity ball, held at Aagrah Midpoint, to raise funds for equipment for the Cardiac Unit at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. At the event, PEC chairman Balbir Panesar invited the Lord Mayor to pick the winning prize draw ticket and, in front of 350 guests, the Lord Mayor picked out his own ticket! The landside and airside contracts are the first PEC has undertaken in the aviation sector.
